Data-Driven Evaluation Strategy

Evaluation Catalyst (eCat) is a nine-month cohort-based training program designed to equip mission-driven nonprofit organizations with the skills and tools to build effective, sustainable evaluation strategies. Developed by CauseImpact and Elevate Consulting, this program blends group workshops, individualized coaching, and hands-on planning support to help nonprofits design comprehensive evaluation plans aligned with their goals, resources, and capacity. Participants engage in peer learning and collaborative problem-solving while developing core components such as logic models, evaluation questions, data collection methods, and reporting strategies.

The program is ideal for established nonprofits that recognize the importance of data-driven decision-making and have some foundational data systems in place. Through a competitive application process, six organizations are selected to receive intensive coaching, technical support, and the opportunity to build internal evaluation capacity. Graduates emerge with a detailed evaluation plan, improved ability to demonstrate impact, and enhanced tools to guide strategic growth, fundraising, and program effectiveness, at a fraction of the typical cost of individual consulting.
